WRAL Named Best Television News Operation by NCAPB

WRAL-TV came out a winner when North Carolina Associated Press Broadcasters (NCAPB) recently handed out their 2008 awards. WRAL-TV won Outstanding News Operation as well as five first place awards and two honorable mentions.
The ceremony took place on Saturday, April 19th at their annual convention at Elon University. WRAL-TV News Director Rick Gall, Assistant News Director Aysu Basaran, and WRAL.com Managing Editor Jodi Glusco attended and accepted the awards on behalf of WRAL.

In addition Basaran is now a member of the NCAPB board.
