Sam Matheny Wins the Volunteer Excellence Award in Communications |
Sam was selected for his work with the development and promotion of the American Lung Association NC’s web site www.lungnc.org.
This is the first year the American Lung Association NC (ALANC) had given volunteer excellence awards. Sam has been working with the Lung Association for over one year, on behalf of Capitol Radio Networks, to help them develop a web site for promotion and education to fight lung disease and promote lung health. His role was that of a consultant, with some HTML and design work. Sam would like to extend thanks to Dan Metz and Paul Godley for their help with the site as well.
Jeff Ligon, a NCSU student, also received the Communications Excellence Award for his efforts in graphic design.
