NCNN Broadcasts Charles Kuralt Funeral Live on the Internet |
Broadcasting legend Charles Kuralt was buried July 8th in a cemetery on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The North Carolina News Network carried the public memorial services of the veteran journalist and Wilmington native live from Chapel Hill via satellite and Internet Real Audio. Among the scheduled speakers were Governor Jim Hunt and UNC President Emeritus Bill Friday.
Kuralt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1955, and had a long association with many CBC staffers and WRAL-TV News.
