Jim Mills Inducted into NC Sports Hall of Fame |
A CBC retiree, Jim Mills, known far and wide as “Mr. Baseball” was one of five inductees into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in Raleigh on June 26th. Mr. Mills, whose career included player, manager and umpire, also served as president of the Class A Carolina League from 1977 to 1983. He is a fixture at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Ask Jim Mills, and he’ll tell you he’s a “baseball man”. He and his wife, Florence, live in Apex.
Jim Mills was a player and manager in 1949. He is a great ambassador for the Durham Bulls, and for minor league baseball.
