FOX 50 News for February

FOX 50 is proud to celebrate Black History month. Scott Reid produced three outstanding Black History spots. The spots featured the Negro League Baseball legacy in North Carolina; Supreme Court Justice Henry Fyre, the first African American to sit on the North Carolina Supreme Court; and a salute to Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. This spot features Andrew Hampton, who is the son of FOX 50 employee Corrine Hampton. The effort was tied together with a feature ad in the newspaper saluting Black History month and highlighting our Black History spots that will air for the entire month of February.

FOX 50 also honored North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company with a congratulations newspaper ad, in celebration of their 100 anniversary. This ad was framed and presented to Burt Collins(holding frame), President of North Carolina Mutual by General Sales Manager Evelyn Booker (on left), General Manager Tommy Schenck (middle), and Account Executive Leon Duncan (on right).

The FOX 50 Activities Committee treated FOX 50 employees to a Valentine’s Continental Breakfast. All food and drink items were red and white. Cupid’s Continental Breakfast was a hit with the FOX 50 Staff
