Easley, Carlton Speak to Statewide Radio Audience

The North Carolina News Network (NCNN) will host a statewide radio call-in (and email-in) show on Monday, March 1, 1999 from 8:06 to 9:00 pm. Attorney General Mike Easley and attorney Phil Carlton will explain the tobacco settlement and take questions over the phone and through the NCNN web site concerning specific areas of concern.

Matt Willoughby will moderate this special version of “Capitol Ideas,” which normally features Governor Jim Hunt. Managing Editor Clayton Henkel commented, “Tobacco growers and many others connected in some way to this part of North Carolina’s economy have many questions about what exactly the tobacco settlement will mean to them. We think this will be a good forum for them to ask the top people involved.”

The call-in phone number is 1-800-849-2761. The web site address is: North Carolina News Network (http://www.ncnn.com ) for those who would like to email their questions over the Internet.

Please see the affiliate listings on the NCNN web site for a list of radio stations in your area who will carry this program. .
