Microspace Announces New Satellite Paging Capabilities
Raleigh, N.C. — Microspace Communications today announced major enhancements to its satellite paging network capabilities. First, Microspace announced that its shared Glenayre C2000 service would now be available for distribution as a dual satellite solution. Microspace will begin offering Glenayre C2000 service on its highly stable FMFM platform as well as its newest MPEG2/DVB platform called VELOCITY(SM).
According to John Bimrose, Senior Account Manager at Microspace, “This is significant news for shared C2000 users. Our C2000 customers can now take advantage of inexpensive, speed- agile, multi-vendor receive hardware on either platform. More importantly, Microspace can now provide immediate, inexpensive disaster recovery for paging carriers now demanding this level of satellite protection.”
Microspace also announced its continued support of the Motorola shared CNET controller.
According to Ralph LoPilato, Account Manager at Microspace, “Although Motorola has chosen to discontinue production of the CNET controller, it has proven to be an extremely stable and reliable platform for wireless messaging and will continue to be utilized for many years. Microspace’s commitment and support of shared CNET service solutions remains strong.”
