1999 Messiah Sing-In
Capitol Broadcasting proudly sponsors the annual Messiah “Sing-In” held each year at the Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Raleigh Symphony Orchestra and soloists from the National Opera Company perform along with a chorus of over 1,000 choir members from neighboring churches and spectators.
The “Sing-In” consists of an abbreviated presentation of Handel’s “The Messiah,” lasting approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. The audience is invited to sing with the orchestra and the soloists from the National Opera Company Admission is a donation of a nonperishable food that will be distributed to needy families in the Raleigh area through the Urban Ministry Center during the Christmas holidays.
