A.J. Fletcher Foundation Launches Online News For The Nonprofit World
Raleigh, NC — The A.J. Fletcher Foundation launched Nonprofitxpress, a daily online newspaper for the nonprofit world. Nonprofitxpress, at www.npxpress.com, publishes state, national and international news about philanthropy and nonprofits. The focus is on news about fundraising, giving, managing, volunteering, innovation and technology.
The Web newspaper also features editorials, opinion columns, letters, job opportunities and electronic links to nonprofit resources. Readers can submit and post announcements about people, organizations, grants, gifts, events and fundraising results.
Nonprofitxpress also publishes a free weekly email newsletter and will conduct and publish electronic surveys on critical issues facing nonprofits. The online newspaper is edited by Todd Cohen, who founded and edited the Philanthropy News Network and the Philanthropy Journal of North Carolina.
Nonprofitxpress aims to expand to other states the type of local coverage it will provide in its home state of North Carolina. “Electronic media are transforming the way people practice philanthropy and the way nonprofits do business, and we are excited to support that transformation through this Web site,” said Tom McGuire, executive director of the A.J. Fletcher Foundation. The publication is free to all readers and will include paid advertising.
