Individual Games Are Going On Sale
MYRTLE BEACH, SC – – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans Fan Festival marks the first day individual game tickets go on sale. The “Pelicans Fan Fest” will take place in the parking lot in front of Coastal Federal Field on Saturday, February 5 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
There are tickets available for all 70 regular season home games including Opening Day, April 6. The “Pelicans Fan Fest” is FREE to all. Fans will be able to enjoy and participate in many activities that they saw on a daily basis during the 1999 baseball season such as the Speed Pitch, Sumo Wrestling, Human Bowling, Big Glove Boxing and more. There will be clowns, face painting, balloons and the Omar Shriners Clown & Vet Brigade. Free hot dogs and Pepsi products will be available, too.
Fans will have the opportunity to win Opening Day tickets and other prizes. “Pirate 100.3 FM,” “KISS 98.5 FM” and “Hot 93.9 FM” will conduct live radio remotes throughout the day at the “Pelicans Fan Fest.” Tickets will be available for purchase by phone at 843-918-6000 or on the Internet at www.myrtlebeachpelicans.com.
The Pelicans begin the 2000 season on Thursday, April 6 at 7:05 PM versus the Lynchburg Hillcats (Pittsburgh Pirates) at Coastal Federal Field. The Pelicans are the reigning Carolina League Champions.
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will have two job fairs to fill game day employee positions. The first job fair is Thursday, February 10 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The second job fair is on Thursday, February 24 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Myrtle Beach Community Center on 10th Avenue North. The list of available game day jobs include ticket taker, hospitality staff (ushers), grounds crew, retail sales, bat boys/girls, ball shaggers, parking attendants, security, and box office personnel.
