WRAL-TV Names Parquet-Taylor News Director
Raleigh, NC — Andrea Parquet-Taylor has been named News Director for WRAL-TV5, announced Vice President and General Manager Bill Peterson. Parquet-Taylor joined WRAL as assistant News Director in September 1999 and was named acting News Director in January.
Parquet -Taylor came to WRAL from WXYZ-TV in Detroit where she was Managing Editor, having risen through the news producing ranks over 14 years. While at WXYZ, she received four Emmys for news coverage and was a multiple award winner of the Detroit Press Foundation Award and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award. Parquet was also recognized by the American Women in Television and Radio as an Outstanding Woman in Television Management.
