From Hogs To Bulls… |
Capitol AgriBusiness Senior Farm Broadcaster Ken Tanner returned to sports broadcasting on April 12 as he joined veteran Durham Bulls broadcaster Steve Barns for play-by-play coverage of the Bulls home games. Tanner will continue his agriculture reporting duties on the Capitol Agribusiness network, where he is widely known for his soybean and peanut programs that air in 7 states.

Tanner is no stranger to baseball announcing. He called the Richmond Braves Triple A games for 12 years with broadcast partner Dave Van Horne, who is now announcing for the Montreal Expos. He has also worked with Virginia Sports Hall of Fame member Frank Soden and has called the Durham Bulls television broadcasts on WRAL-TV with Tom Suiter and Francis Coombs in 1983 and 1984.
