Microspace Adds New Features To Website |
Microspace Communications is not only on the cutting edge of satellite technology, but the CBC subsidiary has enhanced its presence on the World Wide Web as well. Recently the satellite services provider made several additions to its website, www.microspace.com.
The flash introduction is the first noticeable change for Internet surfers. The site itself has been dressed up with audio on the navigation links on the left of the index page.
“We wanted something to make a really strong first impression,” Microspace Director of Sales & Marketing Greg Hurt said. “It’s important to have a dynamic and ever-changing site.” Hurt, Technical Support Specialist Mitzi Logan and Operations Assistant Carla Torrence came up with concept for updating the site, and CC Communications of Charlotte created the flash and audio components. Microspace launched the additions to the site earlier this summer.
Another upgrade to the site will also be used as a tool in other capacities. A five-minute video presentation can now be accessed from the front page of the site. Hurt said, “We wanted something to distribute at trade shows and mail to prospects to share some of the projects we’re working on now. The presentation was designed to be a broad brush and hit a lot of key points.” Produced by Videofonics, a fellow group in the Highwood Office complex, the video utilizes a new technology to create the equivalent of an enhanced Power Point presentation with text on the right of the screen and full motion video on the left.
Microspace is also having miniature CDs of the video made to hand out at trade shows and for direct mailings. The presentation is also loaded on the laptops of all Microspace Account Executives for use in pitching the company’s services to prospective clients.
Hurt says he’s already gotten positive response to the enhancements on the website, especially the video. To see the video and updates to the Microspace website, visit them on the web at www.microspace.com.
