Pelicans Help Support Horry County Schools |
On Friday, May 18, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Nelson Mullins law firm presented a $1,626.75 check to Horry County Schools, half of the proceeds of the Pelicans’ gate on April 24.
Nelson Mullins sponsored the Pelicans’ Horry County Education Night and, with the team, gave the funds to the school system. Nelson Mullins’ Myrtle Beach offices’ Managing Partner Tom Moran and Pelicans Assistant General Manager Matt Harris gave the check to Horry County Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Gerrita Postlewait at Myrtle Beach Primary School. The ceremony took place at 10:00am. |

Splash, the Myrtle Beach mascot, and several Myrtle Beach players and team officials joined attorneys from Nelson Mullins at the presentation. Afterwards, they read books to the classes at the school, books that were then donated to the school as well. |
