MIX To Host Annual Fourth Of July Event

WRAL-FM will host its annual Fourth of July Celebration at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. The free-admission event begins at 4:00pm on the 4th, and ends with fireworks from the grand stand. This year, MIX will set the fireworks display to music on their station.

The event will include all kinds of food, prizes, games and amusement rides for the kids. Free watermelon will be handed out as well.

The MIX Early Morning Show Crew will be available to sign autographs and talk to listeners from 5:00-8:00pm. The Carolina Cobras will hold an exhibition in the Dorton Arena during the event from 4:00-7:00pm. Michael Creech will perform magic shows at the grand stand throughout the afternoon.

The Voltage Brothers will perform at the grand stand in the afternoon as well and will be a part of the grand finale show that leads up to the fireworks display. The grand finale show begins at 8:15pm. Several area sponsors have joined with MIX to offer this family friendly event to Triangle residents.

NOTE: Meredith College will not allow parking to fireworks observers this year due to construction on the campus. In case of rain fireworks rescheduled for 9:20pm on Thursday, July 5th
