WRAL-TV Broadcasts 13th Annual Coats For The Children Telethon |
At 5:30am on Friday, December 7, WRAL-TV will turn its airwaves over to the station’s annual campaign to make a warm difference for the children of the central North Carolina. The 13th Annual Coats For The Children Telethon will run through midnight to raise funds for winter wear and gather new and used coats for needy children.
WRAL-TV has rounded up some great pledge incentives and promises live holiday entertainment throughout the day. Check presentations and clothing donations will be made during the telecast from a variety of local organizations including the Durham Bulls and MIX 101.5/WRAL-FM. As always, the telethon will be the highlight of the November/December campaign. Be sure to watch and make your pledge so that children in North Carolina can weather the cold temperatures that will soon be upon us.
Proceeds from the Coats For The Children campaign go to the Salvation Army to help them and the families they serve. The money will be used to purchase hats, gloves, shoes, underwear and other warm clothing.
The campaign continues through the end of the year. Collection locations will be accepting new and used coats through December 31st, and online donations will be accepted on WRAL.com through that date as well.
