POST 50 Crew Attends Their First Emmy Ceremony |
The POST 50 students responsible for the Emmy nominated Bulls’ broadcast attended the awards ceremony in Nashville, TN. |
Some of the students of FOX 50 and the Durham Bulls’ POST 50 travelled to Nashville for the February 2, 2002, Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards Ceremony. Nominated for an Emmy in the Student Production category, these students were the first to represent the POST 50 organization at the annual event. They were nominated for the Durham Bulls vs. Louisville RiverBats game that they produced and aired live on FOX 50’s digital channel.
The ceremony took place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center during the evening. Nominees from television stations in North Carolina, Tennessee, and the Huntsville, Alabama market attended the event. The POST 50 students were nominated in the only student category.
While the POST 50 gang did not bring home the statue, Raleigh’s Enloe High School took the honors, the students represented their schools, the Boy Scouts, FOX 50 and Durham Bulls in style.
