Nonprofitxpress Changes Names |
The online philanthropy publication, the Nonprofitxpress, is going back to its roots. The digital newssource has changed its name to The Philanthropy Journal, harkening back to its beginnings as a print publication NPX Editor/Publisher Todd Cohen began at the News & Observer.
“The Philanthropy Journal of North Carolina published by The News and Observer Foundation was the first newspaper in the U.S. to report on philanthropy and nonprofits for an entire state, ” Cohen explained. “After that newspaper was discontinued in December 1998, the Fletcher Foundation wanted to continue on the Web the kind of coverage it had provided. We are delighted now to give our online publication a new name that continues the tradition and quality of that pioneering print newspaper.”
Nonprofitxpress, now The Philanthropy Journal, is headquartered in downtown Raleigh in the offices of the A.J. Fletcher Foundation on the top floor of the renovated Briggs Building. Cohen and a staff of two provide the latest news about philanthropy and the non-profit world.
The new Web address for The Philanthropy Journal is www.philanthropyjournal.org.
