WRAL-FM Ratings Top Charts |
The Triangle is tuning in to WRAL-FM/MIX 101.5. With the recent publication of audience ratings, the CBC radio station saw increases in their rankings and attractiveness among its demographic.
“We have been experiencing ratings erosion over the past 18 months to two years,” explained WRAL-FM General Manager Ardie Gregory. “Last Fall and early Winter we did several research studies and found that we needed to ‘fix’ our music and grow the morning show. By January of 2002 we were delivering on the promise of The Best Mix of Music from the 80’s, 90’s and Today with an expanded play list that took us from a Hot Adult Contemporary station playing a lot of Alternative Music to a more Mainstream A/C playing songs from very popular artists from each decade and then in February we brought Sheri Logan back to co-host with Bill and the results have been very good.”
In the key demo of Adults 25-54, MIX 101.5 got the following ratings:
MIX was ranked #7 in Fall 2002 with 4.9 Share. In the Spring 2002 survey they are ranked #2 in the market with a 6.5 share. These are full week numbers Mon-Sun 6a-12 midnight.
In morning drive, 6am to 10am MIX was ranked #4 in the Fall with a 6.0 share and in the Spring 2002 they are ranked #1 in the market with an 8.0 share.
Midday’s in the Fall MIX ranked #9 with a 4.9 share. In the Spring 2002, the station pulled in #3 with a 7.3 share, and in afternoons 3pm to 7pm MIX was #9 in the Fall with a 4.3 share and now is #2 with a 7.0 share.
“Needless to say, I am happy with the programming efforts that have re-aligned the station musically with it’s core audience and for the great job that each of the on-air personalities are doing, with special kudos to Bill & Sheri and all the talented people who contribute to the Morning Show,” concluded Gregory.
