WRAL-TV’s Brain Game Starts New Season With New Host, New Time & New Set |
WRAL-TV’s Brain Game, a local game show for teens, is getting a new look and a new host. After 5 1/2 years at the podium, Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel is passing the quiz cards to Trafficologist Mark Roberts. The first show of the new season hits the airwaves in high-definition this Saturday, September 14, 2002, at 7:30pm on WRAL-TV. Brain Game‘s fall and spring semester rounds will now move to this new time.
Area 9th and 10th graders compete on school teams to clinch the coveted championship, winning computer equipment for their school and bragging rights for themselves. Often times the teams bring the band and/or cheerleaders from their school to help encourage them to victory.
Three teams compete in each episode, then winning teams vie against each other through several rounds until the groups taper down to one champion. Both fall and spring semesters have individual championship teams.
