WRAL To Co-Produce Televised Dole-Bowles Debate |
The Dole and Bowles campaigns have agreed to take part in a debate that will be co-produced by WRAL and WTVD. U.S. Senate candidates Erskine Bowles and Elizabeth Dole will face each other in their first debate on the campus of Meredith College in Raleigh tonight, Monday, October 14, 2002, at 7:00pm.
Meredith is sponsoring the hour-long debate, and WRAL-TV and WTVD-TV are producing the broadcast. WRAL anchor David Crabtree and WTVD anchor Larry Stogner will moderate. Television stations across the state will air the event.
At this time, no other debates are scheduled between the two camps.
