Bulls Featured As Best Family Outing By Citysearch |
The Durham Bulls finished their 100th anniversary season with their first-ever Governor’s Cup Championship win and are already back in the spotlight again. Citysearch.com named the Durham Bulls Athletic Park as the Editorial Winner of the Best Family Outing in the Triangle.
The new DBAP opened for business in 1995, when the Bulls moved up to Triple-A in the minor leagues. The renovations accommodated requirements for the team to join the International League, moving from Class-A to Triple-A.
“We’re happy to be recognized for our efforts in providing affordable, family entertainment,” said Bulls Assistant GM Mike Birling.
Over the past two seasons, the Bulls have recorded a paid attendance of over one million people, the best two-year total in Minor League Baseball.
The Bulls also received another favorable review recently on small-parks.com. The website praised the Bulls for their state-of-the-art ballpark that blends modern convenience with nostalgia.
