Durham Bulls To Be Featured On WRAL-TV Original Series |
Smart Start Kids, a new television program for children and their families, will feature Durham Bulls’ mascot Wool E. Bull and the Durham Bulls Athletic Park this weekend.
Children from around the Triangle came to the ballpark last spring to film the episode. Wool E. Bull leads a behind-the-scenes-tour of the ballpark and a story session in the home team’s dugout.
The program airs in the Raleigh-Durham market as follows:
Saturday 7:30am – WRAZ TV/Fox50
Saturday 10:00am – WRAL TV5
Sunday 8:00am – WUNC TV channel 4
“It was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time and folks from the TV show were delightful,” Bulls General Manager George Habel said. “Could it be that the “E” in Wool E. Bull stands for education?”
WRAL TV, in cooperation with the NC Partnership for Children, is producing Smart Start Kids. The show stars 3-to-5 year olds exploring their world and reporting on their experiences. The program is hosted by accomplished story teller Willa Brigham.
Smart Start Kids premiered Saturday, Oct. 5th at 10am and pulled great numbers a 5.1 household rating/12 share.
