Uncle Paul delighted Triangle children with his weekly television program. |
Montgomery hosted the “Uncle Paul” show on WRAL for 20 years and thus cemented his status as a local celebrity. Several years ago he last performed at the Golden Years Christmas Luncheon, singing “All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth” in memory of the song’s annual jokester, Fred Fletcher. Since that time Montgomery’s health had been in decline.
The service will be carried live on WRAL.com and the WRAL NewsChannel, Time Warner digital cable channel 256.
