WRAL-Produced UCP Special To Air in January |
WRAL-TV will present a half-hour special about United Cerebral Palsy entitled “Investing in Independence” at 7:00pm on Saturday, January 18, 2003. The program features service and programs that UCP runs for children and adults across North Carolina.
WRAL-TV’s Kevin Shand is producing the special, which is hosted by Anchor Debra Morgan. The program will also run at different times on Capitol Broadcasting Company’s stations, WILM-TV in Wilmington and WJZY-TV in Charlotte, as well as Media General-owned station WNCT in Greenville, NC.
Featured in the program are The Charlie Gaddy Children’s Center in Raleigh (named for a former WRAL-TV Anchor), a Greensboro group home and a UCP supported employment program in Charlotte.
