Doctors To Answer WRAL Viewers’ Health Questions |
On Wednesday, January 29th, WRAL will present Doctors on Call. Phyllis Parish will produce this health outreach program for the 15th year. Hosted by Health Team physician, Dr. Allen Mask, Doctors on Call provides viewers the opportunity to get free, confidential medical advice from physicians and specialists with the NC Medical Society.
Doctors will be in WRAL’s studios all day answering viewers’ phone calls and emails. We will broadcast three, half hour specials at 10am, 12:30pm and 7pm. During these live programs, WRAL will take an in-depth look at many medical topics, such as hormone replacement therapy, the smallpox vaccine, stroke prevention, computerized ultrasounds, fitness and nutrition tips for the whole family, to name a few. Doctors remain “on call” in the studios from 10am until 8pm.
Health Team nutritionist Lynn Hoggard and WRAL news anchors, Laurie Clowers and Debra Morgan, host the three programs with Dr. Mask.
Doctors on Call, in partnership with the NC Medical Society, is sponsored by Central Carolina Hospital, Accent Urgent Care and After Hours Pediatrics and Franklin Regional Hospital.
