Pelicans Get Set For Home Opener |
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans 2003 Season kicks off at home tonight, April 11, 2003, at 7:05 pm as they host the Frederick Keys. Gates will open at 5:05 pm for fans to check out some of the new attractions on both the concourse and in the concession stands.
The first 1000 fans to enter Coastal Federal Field will receive a commemorative Opening Night Baseball courtesy of Grand Strand Nissan and Sunny 106.5 FM. All fans in attendance will also get a 2003 Magnetic Pelicans’ Schedule from Golf Dimensions.
Pre-game festivities will kick off shortly after 6 pm, with the first pitch slated for 7:05 pm. Neither the Pelicans nor the Keys will be taking batting practice that evening.
Opening weekend will continue on Saturday at 2:05 pm for game two with the Keys as the first 1000 fans will get a Marcus Giles Bobblehead courtesy of Coastal Federal Field and Hot 100. The three game series will conclude on Sunday at 2:05 pm with a Pelicans 5th Anniversary Baseball from WPDE-TV 15 Sports for the first 1000 fans.
