MIX 101.5 Morning Show Personalities Bill Jordan & Sheri Logan went national on Tuesday, May 20, 2003, in a live interview on the FOX News Channel. FOX Anchor John Scott interviewed Bill & Sheri about Raleigh’s own American Idol, Clay Aiken. The Mayor of Birmingham also appeared to talk about the other AI finalist, Ruben Studdard of Alabama.
Several WRAL-TV personalities have also gotten wrapped up in Clay Mania. WRAL-TV Reporter Lynda Loveland has been covering the AI finals hype in Los Angeles, speaking with Aiken, the judges, Aiken’s mom and a host of fans. WRAL-TV Trafficologist Mark Roberts will be emceeing the finals from the RBC Center in Raleigh. Fans can come to the arena and watch the Wednesday night event on a big screen. The national FOX network will be in attendance with cameras to get some live shots of the fans during the show.
Aiken and Studdard went head-to-head on their final competition last night on FOX50. One will be named the new American Idol tonight in a 2-hour finale on FOX50 beginning at 8pm.
