Bulls Participate in Be Active Community Campaign

Be Active DurhamThe Durham Bulls recently teamed up with Be Active Durham to encourage citizens around them to get active and improve their health. The “Move A Million Minutes” campaign ran for ten weeks, ending July12th, and culminated with a special celebration at the ballpark during the Team USA vs. Mexico on Saturday, July 19, 2003.

Community members who signed up for the program and completed a weekly log of their physical activity received free tickets to the game. They tracked the minutes they spent engaged in walking, playing a sport, jogging, or anything else that got them moving.

These successful participants were also recognized in a pre-game ceremony on the field and received a T-shirt and video of Team USA’s gold medal win during the 2000 Olympics.
