Bulls Participate in Be Active Community Campaign |
The Durham Bulls recently teamed up with Be Active Durham to encourage citizens around them to get active and improve their health. The “Move A Million Minutes” campaign ran for ten weeks, ending July12th, and culminated with a special celebration at the ballpark during the Team USA vs. Mexico on Saturday, July 19, 2003.
Community members who signed up for the program and completed a weekly log of their physical activity received free tickets to the game. They tracked the minutes they spent engaged in walking, playing a sport, jogging, or anything else that got them moving.
These successful participants were also recognized in a pre-game ceremony on the field and received a T-shirt and video of Team USA’s gold medal win during the 2000 Olympics.
