Bulls Introduce First-Time Live Game Webcast

Bulls 1st Live WebcastFor the first time in the history of the ball club, Durham Bulls fans could watch an away game via live video on the Internet. The Bulls Webcast the team’s two-game series against the Toledo Mud Hens on Monday & Tuesday, August 4 & 5, 2003.

The broadcast took place on durhambulls.com, the Bulls’ Website. “We’re grateful the Mudhens are giving us the opportunity to offer this service to our fans,” said Bulls GM Mike Birling. “If this proves to be a popular feature, it’s something we may look to do more of next season.”

Well over 100 fans tuned in to watch the games, and the Bulls are looking into providing the feature on a more regular basis in the future.
