FOX50 Draws Big Ratings with American Idol 3 |
The national FOX network is drawing some of its biggest numbers ever with the third season of “American Idol,” and local affiliate FOX50 is no exception. Every episode that has aired this year has been #1 in the time period, with FOX50 actually outpacing the national ratings. Making the Nielsen numbers even more astounding is that on FOX50 “American Idol 3” is up over the same episodes last year.
Only the Super Bowl has out ranked “American Idol 3” on the Nielsen charts so far. The show airs on FOX50 at 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Whether NC-natives Fantasia Barrino, already voted on to the final 12, or Charly Lowry, slated to compete for a final spot on February 24, will go as far as the Triangle’s Clay Aiken, second runner-up on “American Idol 2,” has yet to be seen. But what’s certain is that the Triangle viewers will tune in to find out.
