WRAL Hosts Media Day for Leadership Raleigh |
Current members of the Leadership Raleigh 19 Class stopped by WRAL-TV on Tuesday, May 4, 2004, as part of their day to learn about Media in the Triangle. The group took tours of the station, listened to a panel discussion and got a firsthand demonstration of some of the latest digital technology.

WRAL-TV Director of News Special Projects Leesa Moore Craigie hosted the event for WRAL-TV. WRAL-TV staffers Randy Mews, Debbie Strange and Diane Richardson served as tour guides, taking groups through the newsroom, master control and studios.
The Leadership Raleigh class also saw a panel discussion about News in the Triangle while at the station. WRAL-TV Anchor David Crabtree participated along with N&O Executive Editor Melanie Sill, Triangle Business Journal Business Editor Dale Gibson, News 14 Carolina News Director Rick Willis and Triangle Tribune Editor Bonita Best.

The trip to WRAL-TV concluded with a demonstration of HDTV and DTV Plus by WRAL-TV Programming & Special Projects Manager Jimmy Goodmon.
