Papers Offer a How-To Guide on Satellite Networks For Businesses

Microspace announced recently the availability of two new White Papers, “Making Satellite Networks Simple: A Plain Language Guide to Applications, Implementation, and Pricing” and “Dynamic Digital Signage: A Straight-Forward Guide to Distributing Content Via Satellite.”

“People are often intimidated when they hear the words satellite technology,” says Joe Amor, vice president and general manager of Microspace. “Taking out the jargon and acronyms to present satellite in its simplest terms is a key first step in helping companies realize there is a clear business case for making the investment. Satellite can be an important supplement to existing networks and an alternate means of distributing large amounts of video, data and audio.”

Beginning with the role that satellite can play in a business’s IT infrastructure, “Making Satellite Networks Simple” explains the use of satellite technology to distribute content in a straightforward, easy to understand manner. The paper reviews the applications for satellite networks such as business television and video on demand, covers how a network is set up and discusses the innovative pricing options not available with other technologies.

“Dynamic Digital Signage” takes an application-specific look at how satellite can enhance the return on investment of a digital signage network in the retail industry. Specifically, it discusses the multiple benefits for using a satellite network for digital signage distribution and how the application is complimented by the technology.
