Second Tenant Moves In At American Tobacco
New skylights dot the architecture in the Reed Building, the new home of McKinney & Silver.
The numbers are increasing at the American Tobacco Historic District in downtown Durham. Advertising agency McKinney & Silver became the second tenant to move into its offices in the complex on Monday, August 16, 2004.
The largest adverstising agency in the Triangle, McKinney & Silver is relocating from its offices on the Fayetteville Street Mall in Raleigh, their home for more than 30 years. McKinney & Silver now occupy space in the Reed Building at American Tobacco. Built in 1902, the Reed Building’s architectural detailing and loft height ceilings provide a fitting backdrop for the creative agency.
McKinney & Silver joins GlaxoSmithKline who began moving into their new offices in June. Duke University and Compuware will begin moving workers into their newly renovated offices in the near future.
Thanks to Ben Casey & the American Tobacco District for these capcom photos.
