PanAmSat recently announced Microspace as a recipient of the PanAmSat Operational Excellence Award for 2004. The award will be presented at a ceremony on March 31, 2005, at PanAmSat’s Customer Service Center in Atlanta.
PanAmSat created the Operational Excellence Award as an annual program to recognize and encourage customer cooperation and error free operation. The company bases the award on several criteria including partnership, error free operations, being a model customer, and assistance.
Each of the four operational groups within PanAmSat nominate one customer they feel meets or exceeds the criteria. Each of the four nominees receive awards.
“Microspace is an extremely valued customer of PanAmSat,” said Robert Summa of PanAmSat’s Customer Relations, “and it is clear that Microspace meets both the characteristics of this award and the definition of customer operational excellence.”
As a customer of PanAmSat, Microspace uses their satellites and transponders around the globe to provide satellite services to its own customers.
“PanAmSat has literally hundreds of uplink providers they could have singled out, and they chose to present Microspace Communications with this award,” said Microspace Director of Operations/Engineering Carolyn Newey. “Microspace is very proud of our Engineering staff and the vitally important and world-class services they perform.”
