The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will open their 2005 season against the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Thursday, April 7th at 7:02pm. Twelve returning players, along with 13 newcomers, will fill the Pelicans dugout.
On opening night, a special pre-game performance by the Crocodile Rocks Dueling Pianos will kick-off the fun. A week of exciting promotions continues for the initial homestand, including fireworks after Saturday night.
The Pelicans finished their 2004 season with an overall 75-63 record, second best in the Carolina League.
Myrtle Beach warms up for the season tonight, Tuesday, April 5th at 6:02pm in the 3rd Annual Coastal Clash exhibition game against the Charleston Riverdogs. The match-up at Coastal Federal Field will get the beach set for another great Pelicans season.
