The Durham Bulls recently announced the fourth annual Time Warner Cable Education Day at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park is set for Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at a special time of 11am. This popular promotion has drawn almost 20,000 students from North Carolina since its inception in 2002, with students flocking to the ballpark to learn how baseball can be educational.
The day kicks off at 9:30am when education stations will open on the ballpark concourse. Stations include displays from Exploris Museum, a coloring center hosted by Duke University Health Systems, and an interactive area filled with farm animals provided by the North Carolina State University Agriculture Club.
At 10am, students can take their seats for the “Weather Trivia Challenge” hosted by WRAL-TV’s Greg Fishel. Following Fishel’s presentation, select students will be invited down to the field to interview Bulls players about how their education impacted their lives. Then the Bulls will take the field to take on the Columbus Clippers, the Triple-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees.
Tickets for this and other games during the 2005 Durham Bulls Baseball Season are available now at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park Box Office, by phone at (919) 956- BULL or online at www.durhambulls.com.
