Erica Davidson of Durham is the third finalist chosen by the judges of this season’s Verizon SuperPages Presents FOX 50’s Gimme the Mike! to advance to the live one-hour season finale on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 7pm.
Davidson is a program specialist at the VA Medical Center in Durham. During her service in the armed forces, she toured the world singing as a member of the elite Army Soldier Show.
An online audience vote has named Camiel Ferrell of Garner this season’s third Wild Card pick. Camiel advances to the live FOX 50’s Gimme the Mike! Wild Card Playoff Show on Tuesday, May 24 at 7:30pm where she’ll have an additional chance to showcase her singing abilities for an online Wild Card vote.

Ferrell teaches deaf and hard of hearing students at Broughton High School. An extreme thrill-seeker, you’ll normally find her skydiving, wakeboarding, scuba diving and riding her dirt bike.
A new episode of FOX 50’s Gimme the Mike! airs Thursday night at 7:30 on FOX 50 (WRAZ-TV). Each week features the performances of four new talented singers from all over North Carolina.
This Thursday night will feature the singing talent of: H’yit Siu of Raleigh, Bobby Caddell of Durham, F.D. Daniels of Fayetteville and Meagan Lee of Dunn.
Verizon SuperPages Presents FOX 50’s Gimme the Mike! will culminate in a one-hour live season finale Wednesday, May 25 at 7:00pm where one finalist will be awarded the grand prize. The season finale event will also feature live performances from some special musical guests and will be broadcast live from downtown Raleigh leading into May’s biggest television music event: the finale of American Idol.

Contestants from throughout North Carolina are singing for their shot at fame as they perform on TV for the grand prize: a trip to New York to audition for record label executives, a performance on Alltel Pavilion’s second stage for one show this summer, and a demo from Osceola Recording Studios in Raleigh.
Returning for another season on FOX 50’s Gimme the Mike! is host Jim Kelly from Mix 101.5, WRAL-FM. This season’s judges include Dick Hodgin of Osceola Recording Studios, Brian Dawson from K97.5, WQOK and Heather Green from 94.7 FM, WQDR.
