American Tobacco Pizza Eatery Opens For Business
|
As the second phase of the American Tobacco project in downtown Durham gets underway, activity is continuing in the first phase of the 16-acre campus. On Tuesday, July 5, 2005, Mellow Mushroom opened its doors in the Fowler Building.
Mellow Mushroom occupies 5,000 square feet, with indoor and outdoor seating. Decorated with baseball in mind, the restaurant sits at the corner of Blackwell Street and Jackie Robinson Place, close to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Tyler’s Taproom is also currently putting the finishing touches on their American Tobacco location. They plan to open later this month.
Already open for business, The Symposium Café, is enjoying a steady flow of dining traffic in its American Tobacco location. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating along the edge of the Lucky Strike tower fountain. An eclectic menu serves DBAP attendees, dinner guest and the business lunch crowd alike.
The Symposium Café opened in April and celebrated its grand opening in mid-June.
