Bulls Announce Wool E. Bull’s
Birthday Toy Drive

Wool E. Bull will celebrate his birthday with a toy drive on July 17th. |
The Durham Bulls, in conjunction with Mix 101.5 FM, have announced the fifth annual Wool E. Bull’s Birthday Toy Drive has been scheduled for Sunday, July 17, 2005. Fans are encouraged to bring a new toy to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park box office for the team’s 5pm game against the Rochester Redwings to receive a special “two for one” offer on tickets for the game. All toys collected will be donated to Duke Children’s Hospital.
“This is one of our annual favorites,” Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said, “The look on the children’s faces when we present them with boxes full of toys is priceless.”
Festivities for Wool E. Bull’s Birthday include visits from several of Wool E.’s mascot friends, including Stormy from the Carolina Hurricanes, Mr. & Mrs. Wolf from NC State University, McGruff the Crime Dog from the Durham Police Department and many more. Mascots will be available for pictures at the main gates beginning at 4pm and will sign autographs throughout the game.
During the game, children are invited to enjoy some birthday cake with Wool E. Bull and his friends, then after the game it’s time for Pepsi Kids Run the Bases when children ages 12 and under get to come down to the field and run around the basepaths.
The Bulls box office is open Monday-Friday from 9am – 5pm, 9am – 9pm on game days, except Sunday game days where the box office is open from 12pm – 7pm. Fans wanting to order tickets in advance may do so by calling (919) 956-BULL or online at durhambulls.com.
