The Durham Bulls have released the schedule for the 2006 season. The team will open on the road against the Norfolk Tides on Thursday, April 8th, then return to Durham for Opening Night on Friday, April 14th against the 2005 Governors’ Cup Champion Toledo Mud Hens. It is the first time that the Bulls have opened the home season on a Friday night since the Bulls made the jump to Triple-A.
Highlights of the 2006 schedule include:
- Home games on Easter Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend and Independence Day.
- 11 Friday night home games, up from 10 in 2005.
- A record 19 fireworks shows.
- Several returning promotions, including Education Day on April 19th at 11:00am, Negro League Night on June 10th and Wool E. Bull’s Birthday Bash on July 16th.
