WILM Selected to Air Powerball Drawings on Coast

On Friday, September 22, 2006, the North Carolina Education Lottery announced that Southeastern North Carolina will now be able to watch the Powerball drawings live. WILM-TV in Wilmington is the latest television station to partner with the NCEL for broadcasting the Powerball drawings. Viewers in the Wilmington area saw the live broadcast on WILM-TV for the first time Saturday, Sept. 23.
WILM-TV joins WRAL-TV in Raleigh, WITN-TV in Greenville, and WCNC -TV in Charlotte to air the drawings. All these stations will also broadcast “Carolina Pick 3” and “Carolina Cash 5” in October.
“Carolina Pick 3” will debut Oct. 6. “Carolina Cash 5” will debut on Oct. 27. Both of these games will be drawn daily live at approximately 11:22pm. Powerball drawings are aired every Wednesday and Saturday at approximately 10:59pm EST.
