Henkel Wins Statenets for Next Generation Hispanics Series

Amid national competition, NCNN News Producer/Special Projects Clayton Henkel came out a winner at the Statenets Conference. Entrants from 26 states competed for news awards and Henkel brought home two honors. She competed with journalists from across the country.
Henkel won Honorable Mention for Best Documentary for NC Report: Next Generation Hispanics, as well as Honorable Mention for Best Series for Beyond The Headlines: Next Generation Hispanics

StateNets, which is the organization of Statewide Radio Networks, held its annual News Directors and Affiliate Relations Directors Conference. The conference took place in Chicago on December 4-6, 2006. NCNN News Director Ellen Reinhardt attended the event on behalf of NCNN.
Reinhardt received an honor of her own at the conference. She was named President-Elect for the News Directors and Affiliate Relations Directors Association.
