News Over Wireless Goes Live on AT&T Devices AT&T Customers Now Have Access to Local TV News with My Local TV
|
AT&T Wireless users can now get WRAL’s My Local TV via mobile phone. |
AT&T customers can now access My Local TV, a wireless application and service, which offers news, weather, traffic, sports and other breaking news from local television affiliates across the United States.
“We are thrilled to provide the leading-edge technology found in My Local TV to AT&T customers,” said Sam Matheny, general manager of News Over Wireless. “Our solution places reliable, relevant content in the hands of mobile customers across the nation.”
My Local TV is an advanced Java application and once downloaded, users select their city and begin accessing content from their local TV station. Each station designed its own custom mobile offering based on the needs of its audience.
An AT&T section has been added to the download page for News Over Wireless partners to simplify the subscription process. A list of available devices is viewable when you click the AT&T logo from the download page.
AT&T customers can subscribe to My Local TV on their AT&T phone as well. To do so, simply text MYTV to 386, or locate My Local TV in the MEdia Mall mobile storefront under the Weather & Travel, TV & Movies or Shopping & Local categories.
The offering is also found on the AT&T MEdia Mall online storefront by navigating to Cool Tools >> All Categories and selecting any of the category names mentioned above. The application currently includes text and graphics and is available for $3.99 a month.
