Ducks Set to Race Against Hunger At American Tobacco

American Tobacco Duck Race

The ducks are back.  For the second year in a row, American Tobacco is taking a quack at hunger.

Thousands of rubber ducks will take to the waters of the “Old Bull River” located on the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham, Saturday, September 29th as the second annual Great American Tobacco Duck Race takes place with proceeds benefiting the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.

9:00am – 1:00pm
American Tobacco Campus
318 Black Street, Durham

The day will start with a Breakfast by the River at 9am ($5 per person), followed by a Corporate Duck Race at 10am (ducks are $250 for this race), a Duck Costume Contest at 11am, and a People’s Duck Race at noon (ducks are $10 for this race).

The course for both races is 600 feet long and prizes will be awarded for the first three ducks, and the last duck to cross the finish line, for each race.

Purchase and pick up your duck at the American Tobacco Campus Management office or at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle office.  Or purchase online.
