Capitol Broadcasting’s new 99.9 The Fan now has a General Manager. Mike Morgan will join the staff on Monday, October 15, 2007.
Morgan comes to 99.9 The Fan from 99X in Atlanta where he was General Sales Manager of Cumulus’ alternative rock station.
Before Atlanta, Morgan was Director of Sales for Entercom’s seven-station cluster in Greenville SC leading a staff of thirty-two. His sales career began as an account executive at WROV-FM in Roanoke, and he also worked at WBT in Charlotte.
”Mike has major market experience, background in our male demo and talk radio on his resume,” said Capitol Sports Vice President George Habel. “He is eminently qualified to build our sales/marketing operation and lead the staff of The Fan.”
Morgan was a starting free safety at Virginia Military Institute holding season records for recovered fumbles and intercepted passes.
