Don’t Miss the WRAL-TV Raleigh Christmas Parade |
The temperatures will be some of the chilliest yet, but the snap in the air will definitely make Christmas parade goers in the Triangle feel like the holiday season is indeed here. The WRAL-TV Raleigh Christmas Parade kicks off at 9:30am this Saturday, Nov. 17th, bringing with it Santa’s first appearance in 2007, and a load of holiday cheer.
The route starts on the corner of Hillsborough & St. Mary’s Streets, right outside the doors of MIX 101.5 and 99.9 The Fan. The floats, bands and balloons will then make their way downtown to Fayetteville Street, winding up at Davie Street.
If the freezing temperatures deter watchers from lining up along the parade route, no worries. WRAL-TV will offer live coverage in HD starting at 10am, with hosts Bill Leslie & Lynda Loveland. Former WRAL-TV Trafficologist Mark Roberts will be live street-side, and he is sure to be as entertaining as the parade itself with his antics.
If you’re on the streets braving the cold, you can still see WRAL’s coverage. WRAL-TV will replay the parade broadcast during December of the WRAL NewsChannel. WRAL-TV will also broadcast a special holiday presentation at 4pm on Christmas Day.
