Inside Wolfpack Sports TV Now on Sunday’s on FOX 50

Inside Wolfpack Sports
Inside Wolfpack Sports with Lee Fowler is now airing on FOX 50 at 10:30am on Sundays.

Just because the men’s basketball season is over for NC State doesn’t mean the Wolfpack won’t continue to have a presence on local television. Inside Wolfpack Sports with Lee Fowler made its season debut Sunday, March 30, 2008, at morning at 10:30am on WRAZ FOX 50 in the Triangle area, and will continue this Sunday.

For 22 weeks during the spring and summer months, the show will profile coaches, athletes and provide up-to-date information on Wolfpack athletics.

The guest this week (Sunday, April 6th) lwill be Russell Wilson, a freshman who plays both football and baseball. What’s interesting is that he’s participating for the baseball team and also practicing with the football team in spring workouts at the same time. He’s in the running to become NC State’s starting quarterback in football next fall and will likely be the starting third baseman for the baseball team once spring football is over.

Inside Wolfpack Sports, featuring Athletics Director Lee Fowler will air on Fox 50 Sundays at 10:30 am. The first episode aired on Sunday, March 31 and the show will run for 21 straight weeks, with the last episode airing on August 18.

Also this week, Don Shea will have a feature on NC State’s “pro day,” which was held a few weeks ago. On pro day, scouts from various NFL teams visit NC State to evaluate Wolfpack football players who seek to become NFL players next year.

Each week, athletics director Lee Fowler will also tackle questions from viewers on Ask the A.D. Those wishing to submit questions can do so here.

Thanks to WSM’s Tony Haynes & NC State’s Eric Wilson for contributions to this capcom story & photo.
