Pops in the Park Date Set

WRAL and the North Carolina Symphony are teaming up for the 29th annual Pops in the Park held Aug. 31, 2008 at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary.
Legends of Beach, a 10-man group specializing in beach music classics and new beach songs, will be this year’s guest. Legends of Beach has five of the original six members of the group The Embers – known for their unique rhythm and blues, heart and soul, beach music style.
The free event starts at 7pm. Gates open at 4:30pm.
Concert-goers are allowed to bring blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic. Food will also be available at the venue. Pets are not allowed.
If you can’t make it don’t worry, WRAL-TV will broadcast Pops in the Park at 7 p.m. Sept. 1.
