Chart-Topping Band Everclear, Local Acts Highlight Music Festival
99.9 FM “The Fan,” the Triangle’s premiere sports radio station on the FM dial, is proud to announce its inaugural FanFest, a music festival and fan appreciation celebration scheduled for Saturday, September 13th at Lincoln Theater in Downtown Raleigh. Several local bands will kick-off the event with Everclear headlining the festival.
“FanFest is a great opportunity for us to thank our listeners by providing an evening full of live entertainment and enjoyment,” said Mike Morgan, General Manager of 99.9 FM “The Fan.” “We know our listeners have a love for music in addition to sports, and we’re happy to offer them the best of both worlds in the same day.”

Before the bands start, FanFest will open with the 99.9 FM “The Fan” Inaugural Cornhole Cup, a charity tourney to benefit Prostate Cancer.

Headline band Everclear is well-known for its late 1990’s chart toppers, “I Will Buy You A New Life,” “Santa Monica” and “Father of Mine.” After Everclear’s performance, fans are invited to the Insider After-Party with the popular band, Dark Side of the Dead, a Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead tribute band.
